We are proud to take you through the flow process of our packhouse to give you a better understanding of how we ensure that only the finest quality fruit makes its way from our farms to your homes.

The journey begins with crates delivered freshly picked fruit, lemons, oranges, soft citrus, and grapefruit, from our farms. These crates are then brought into the packhouse where they undergo a drenching process. In some cases, the fruit may also be degreened to ensure optimal ripeness and colour. After the drenching process, the fruit bins are tipped as a run under the specific PUC (Producer Unit Code) and orchard number. Each farm has a unique PUC and each orchard has a unique number registered on Phytclean and eCert. This allows us to track and trace each batch of fruit back to its source.

The pre-sorters and sorters at our packhouse play a crucial role in ensuring that only export quality fruit ends up in the boxes. We utilize Aweta sizer to size and sort the fruit, with 32 drops each with a packer to pack the fruit into a box. Each box are marked with a sticker for traceability. Once packed, each box undergoes inline quality control checks to ensure that all specifications are met. Boxes are also weighed to guarantee that each box is the correct weight. The boxes are then palletized and inspected by a PPECB (Perishable Products Export Control Board) inspector before being loaded onto a truck and transported to our cold rooms.

From the cold rooms, the pallets are then loaded into containers bound for various markets around the world including the EU, Russia, Malaysia, China, UK, Taiwan, India, Saudi Arabia, and more. Each market has its own specific requirements which we carefully adhere to in order to deliver the freshest and highest quality fruit to our customers.
